Chapter 4 She's in danger!

  • Alan ran faster than the speed which the light passes with, cutting through the trees, crushing the leaves under his feet and following her smell with a bleeding arm. He shot his eyes in his surroundings to look for her. She hardly ran for a few seconds then also it seemingly occurred difficult to search her.
  • Inhaling a breath of disappointment with his failure for not being able to find her, Alan growled loudly. His dangerous roar resonated in the forest. "Where can she go all of a sudden!" he roamed here and there, insanely breathing like a monster.
  • His fierce wolf was about to take control of him since he was more powerful than his human form, crazy and lunatic. But Alan anyway attempted to keep his wolf in control and find her on his own. However, the more his eyes roamed in the context to spot her figure the madder Alois grew.
  • 'Let me take over Alan, I don't want to stay mate-less any more. We can't let her go! Let me take over, Alan!'
  • Alois demanded shrieking with every word he uttered. His growls were breath hitching.
  • "I am afraid I can't do it. She already assumes me to be a vile rogue."
  • Alan took steps further searching for her in the bushes if by any chance she was concealing herself from his eyes.
  • "I will find her, don't worry. Trust me I am equally crazy as you but please stay calm, I cannot let you out. You will kill her in your madness." Sensing Alois' whine , Alan sped up his quest before his wolf could demand for domination over him.
  • Focusing sharply on the situation, Alan tried to scan the area. He fell under extreme levels of anxiety. He jumped up over a rock to get a better view of the place, and hopped down off it when caught the smell of her uneven breaths and scared warmth.
  • "She is there." Murmuring that to his wolf, he ran for his life with all his strength until he neared her.
  • No sooner he crossed a few metres ahead than his eyes widened in extreme shock.
  • "Blimey!" His expressions defined a small swallow cannot make the summer. Yeah, if he got his mate and the curative herb all at once then he was also encountering severe events now.
  • One of them was in front of him.
  • "Stay still, don't move." warning her with his peepers fixating on the danger ahead, Alan made his moves as he stood alert. "Stare in its eyes, don't look anywhere else. It will give him an opportunity to attack you otherwise" He continued taking another step.
  • There was a big panther standing across her over a few metres away. He was prepared to attack while Lisa, baffled and scared, stared at him with teary eyes. "Please help me." her plea fused his heart. She sounded so helpless and frightened.
  • He was really happy that she asked for help then also Alan hated to see her appearance. She was standing with a mysterious aura surrounding her. Her wounds, those scars spoke something, her royal gown within the dirty cloak defined she was hiding something and lastly the medium sized side bag made up of fine fabric indicated she was going through something, it was yet to be discovered.
  • "I am here to help you, stop fretting. Don't look away from him." She seemed convinced, he smiled proudly. She was trusting him.
  • Alan moved backward moving his peepers in the surrounding to look for something that can be used as a weapon. If he had been alone and no Lisa there then the fight would have been interesting and the panther's death painful nonetheless he can't do anything as she was standing on the edge of the valley.
  • She continued to obey his words, shivering woefully as she stood under the gaze of the cat that looked hungry. The panther took a step ahead, freaking her out in a way that she fell back on the ground and her eye contact broke. Howling severely the panther jumped up in the air to pound on her.
  • The event was so nerve chilling that her lashes latched together preparing herself to engulf her death defeatedly; however, the panther never pounded on her! Yeah, she was still there, waiting to feel its weight on her body but it never happened. He never came!
  • Intrigued and perplexed, just when she opened her eyes to see the panther, Lisa grasped holding her mouth at the scenario in the front. Her tears streamed down in a chain slipping through her cheeks. She clutched her mouth suppressing her sobs, unable to look at the heart wrenching prospect.
  • The panther laid on the ground under him while he attacked on its neck with a sharp edged wooden stick making a wave of blood rush out. It has stained his hands and clothes and face. He looked really dangerous covered in the layer of the panther's blood coating his face. Lisa clenched her jaw together holding her mouth for his dark eyes shone gravely as the drops of blood slipped down the bridge of his neck.
  • That is why, rogues are dangerous. They are heartless and cruel. And he proved that today.
  • "Please let him go, please!" She begged, turning her face away from him and the panther. It was enough for her to witness the brutal killing of an animal. "Please don't do that." her agonized tone hit his ears and he stopped.
  • The dying whimpers of the panther killed her brain eventually and forced her to relate it with the last whimpers of her mother that she had heard before her mother gave up on her life.
  • Alan immediately threw away his weapon, standing up quickly like he realized something important. "Do not worry he will not do you any harm. He's dead." feeling him smile along his words, Lisa dared to shoot a glance on his face.
  • Her mind screamed as it warned her to stay away from him yet on the other hand, her heart assured her of good. His bloody face relieved her eyes. The tears stopped and her shivers calmed a bit down.
  • "Don't kill me." alas her words betrayed her feelings.
  • It was obvious though. When you are stuck in a danger, and the person you suspect to be your death helps you- you still doubt him. So it was not Lisa's fault. Regardless, it was not anticipated by him at all because he disappointedly blinked, registering what she just uttered now, making his wolf turn mad.
  • Alan mopped his face with his palms sitting across her on his knees. Anger was quite visible on his face, she can see him suppressing himself. "I am not a bad guy, don't fear me, okay. Do not fear me. Hmm." He made a move to touch her shoulder assuringly but before his touch landed on her skin, she let out a painful shriek and fainted pale against the rock. "Hey, hey! Get up."
  • Tbc...
