Chapter 4

• He seized my hand and dragged me into his office. He closed the door while still holding my hand.
• "What did you come here for? He asked angrily. I... You what? He snapped.
• If you know what you came here for, stop poking your nose into my business. He grumbled. Am s...orry, I didn't mean to offend you. I apologized. He loosened his hold on my hand and matched to his desk and sat down examining me.
• Listen Ms Catriona, if you ask Sandra any other questions about this house or me, she'll be the one in trouble. He said. "No, please, I won't ask her anything. Anymore. I said. Very good. Then behave yourself, woman. You didn't come here to do research on my house and people.
• I promise, I won't. I said.
• I left his office and went to look for Sandra and apologize to her. I spotted her carrying a basket full of dirty clothes going into the laundry room.
• Hey sandra! She saw me and gave me a smile which I returned. Hey to you too! Is everything okay? She asked worriedly. Yes Sandra, everything is fine. I replied. Sandra, why are you scared of him? I asked her but then remembered that I promised not to ask anything.
• Forgot that I asked you anything. Okay, no more questions from now on. But will you give me a house tour? Sure, I will. She replied. She turned on the washing machine, set it and told me to follow her.
• In the evening, I went into my room and yanked on my workout outfits and headed into the basement of the house where the gym is. In the afternoon, Sandra gave me a full tour of this mansion but left out like four closed doors. I asked her why she left out the four doors and told me that it's inappropriate for a human like me to enter. This mansion has six wings downstairs and three upstairs, and the servants quarters.
• The mansion has its own hospital, a supermarket, clothing store, for men, children, and women of different stages and a swimming pool.
• When I asked her if they belong to Jayden and she said yes. I became more curious about his job. How can a mere person have all this?
• She told me that their Alpha pays everything but when it comes to clothing, they buy them with their money, except for the orphans. We didn't get time for her to give me the basement tour, but told me the gym was in the basement.
• I climbed down into the basement and my eyes widened when I reached the last step of the stairs. The first thing that caught my eyes was the raindrop crystal chandelier that was designed in black and gold. The basement was well designed and furnished in black and gold. I decided to give myself a quick tour...
• There were three extra bedrooms with different designs. A kitchen with a built-in and a wine bar in the corner of the kitchen. I walked back and through the hallway. The door to the gym had a sticker on it that says, GYM. Just in case someone gets lost. They're so considerate. I like that.
• I opened the door and entered. The gym was big as well and organized. It had all the gym machines and equipment. I decided to use a treadmill first.
• I lightly jogged for forty-five minutes and turned it off and grabbed the jump rope. I normally jump 500-700-1000 times a day. And to reach 1000 jumps depends on my mood. I tucked the earpieces in my ears, a timer and started jumping ( working out).
• There was a bright light that beamed brightly inside the gym that wasn't there when I came in. When I saw that it was Jayden, I stopped at 400 and removed one earpiece.
• You have to open the windows before you start with your workouts. He said.
• Sorry, I didn't know that they were hidden windows! Next time I will put that in mind. I grumbled. I continued with my workout and saw him using the hack squat machine. I completed a thousand jumps and sat down to have some water while stealing quick glances at him. This man is heavenly handsome.
• He changed from a hack squat machine to a lat pulldown looking handsome as usual. He was training with his eyes closed. What I did was glue my eyes on his gorgeous face.
• Is staring at people one of your hobbies? He asked and I almost spat the water out of my mouth. To my absolute shock, he said all that with his eyes still closed.
• If you're done exercising, just leave. There's no need for you sticking around when you're done. LEAVE. He said.
• "Why is he being arrogant? I asked as I headed out.
• I took a shower and went downstairs to have dinner. As I entered the kitchen, I heard two women talking in low voices.
• "What does Alpha want from that black woman? "
• I was hurt because I knew they were talking about me. I cleared my throat to get their attention, "are you talking about me? They awkwardly said no and disappeared. An old woman who was in her late 70s gave me a smile and gestured to me to sit next to her.
• Come here dear. What is your name? Am called Catriona. But you can call me Cate. Alright Cate, my name is Samantha, but most people here call me godmother. She said, I will also call you godmother if you don't mind. " Are you also Jayden's mother? I asked. "Kind of." But he's my Alpha. She replied.
• We sat there for a while chatting. What is the relationship between you two? She asked.
• Um... am just his.... Dinner is ready! Someone yelled from behind us. Umm, godmother, i think we should go eat and then later we will talk. I stammered.
• We all sat down waiting for the big boy now. In about thirty five minutes, he came in and they all stood up the way they always do. He's not my alpha so I remained in my seat. He had a worried look on his face and his hair was messy. I gave him a glance and continued eating my food.
• After dinner, everybody went out. I took my plate in the kitchen as a mannered woman. I saw him entering the elevator and I rushed in before it closed. I tripped my foot and bumped into him.
• "Your okey?" He asked. Yes, I am fine.
• Watch your steps when running or walking. He said. We locked eyes for a long moment still in his arms. I quickly pried myself off him and asked him if he's fine?
• I'm fine, as you can see. Stop lying, I can see that something is bothering you. I said in a low tone and was surprised by how I knew. He looked me in the eyes and said nothing. We got out of the elevator and I grabbed his big palms before disappearing out of my sight.
• Listen Jayden, if something.... "Enough human. That's enough. He snapped, startling me.
• I'm sorry. I apologized and went back to my room with pain. I sat down on the couch and called Miss Oliver to talk to my brother. She picked up on the first ring.
• Hi child! Hi Miss Olivier! How are you all? We are fine dear. How are you over there? Is everything okay? Yes Miss Olivier, everything is good. How's Edrine's condition? He's much better now dear. Don't worry about him. Just focus on your work. You would've talked to him but he's asleep now. It's okay Miss Oliver, let him sleep.
• I hung up the phone and went on the balcony to have some fresh air. I was about to sit down, and I saw three men standing at the entrance of the gate staring my way. I didn't mind them because I know they're one of the people living in this house. I ignored them and sat down, and opened my Instagram page.
