Chapter 7 Possessive And Competitive

  • What if I say I want my father back? Or Magnus? Or back to my clan.
  • Surely he can’t get that to happen. This won’t become true.
  • I bit my lip, feeling a bit tempted. No, it was Kai. He’s an alpha, and he’s one of my mates. Of course, he would have this effect on me. I can’t deny it.
  • His intense gaze bore into me, trapping me at the moment.
  • I met his gaze, not sure how I could escape his hold on me. The way his arms were grabbing me, I was almost an inch away from my chest.
  • He inched closer, and I could feel his hot breath fanning over me. His hand caressed my cheek and stroked my hair to my ear.
  • Out of nowhere, my hands traveled to his body, to his and he stiffened a bit.
  • He breathed deeply, and I noticed something rock hard between us. I looked down to see that it was not just a rock.
  • It was his…member.
  • I swallowed hard, biting my lip as I knew this. I could feel my body heating up.
  • Was it... because of the mate thing?
  • I felt my pearls against my bra sensitive more than usual due to the contact of water earlier and my thing down there is itching. My belly feels hot too.
  • I could see the hard outline as it was visible in his pants.
  • His eyes seemed to search the mine for something, desperate to find it.
  • He blinked, and cleared his throat, cutting my thoughts off, “We need to get back now.” he whispered.
  • “Yes, we do.” I nodded, still out of it.
  • “Do you..." want to stay?” he asked hesitantly.
  • I bit my lip, and he looked at it for a minute before turning away. “You’re distracting me.”
  • “Huh? Why?” I asked innocently, wanting to trigger him.
  • “This is…not good. Zef will know of this.” He whispered, “I can picture his angry reaction now.”
  • “You’re scared of your brother?” I asked, and he shook his head.
  • “Of course not. I’m just scared of what he’ll do to you.” he softly said.
  • I looked up at him as he towered over me. The water current of the river was soothing enough and Kai leaned down as his nose bumped into mine.
  • His lips grazed mine, and I wanted to push him away.
  • But his hands locked mine.
  • Neither did I. My body was moving too.
  • Kai then licked his lips before slamming them into mine. I let him enjoy the moment, although every fiber of my being itched to push him.
  • The kiss felt strange, yet too tempting that my mind did not even think of anything other than wanting more.
  • I cursed my body for losing control.
  • Dammit. This is not what I expected.
  • His warm body envelope into mine, his hand trailing along my body, to my chest, and to my hips.
  • When he pulled out of the kids, he said, “Was that enough of a prize?”
  • My mind was still hazy, but I managed to reply, “No.”
  • He licked his lips seductively, “Then what is it? Aren’t you a bit too demanding?”
  • I winked, “I’ll say my prize when I think of it.”
  • His lips turned into a grin, “Alright, I’ll be waiting.”
  • We then went to grab our clothes from the tree and got dressed.
  • He then guided me back to the packhouse, now quiet surrounding us.
  • Awkward tension also lingered, and I felt trapped in the air. But he stole a glance at me and grabbed my hand to hold on.
  • “What if Zef asks?” I spoke up.
  • He turned to me and said, “Then lie to him. He’ll get angry with you for sure.”
  • I nodded. Right. This is a struggle. One thing I learned is that both of these twins are possessive.
  • and competitive.
  • Once he learned about the incident earlier at the river, with me and Kai, he would have flipped out.
  • When we got back, I loosened my hand from Kai’s to avoid suspicion.
  • It’s like we are hiding something that we don’t have.
  • So what if we kissed?
  • Did that even mean anything?
  • For Kai? Did it? I forgot to even ask him.
  • Well, not that I want to know it…
  • We’re mates. That would have been expected..right?
  • Right.
  • We were greeted by Zef as he looked suspiciously at us with a furrowed forehead, “You two decided to go out without me?”
  • His hands were crossed in front of him, his eyes narrowing on us as if we had done something bad.
  • Kai took a step forward for me, “Yes.”
  • Zef’s jaw clenched, “You did not inform me about this, brother.”
  • Kai smirked, casting a glance at me as his eyes squinted at his twin brother, “Isn’t the battle on? I just took her out for a walk.”
  • He looked at us suspiciously and said, “A walk? I’m not sure that’s all that happened.”
  • Well, he’s right. It’s not just a walk. It involved more than a walk.
  • River and kissing.
  • I decided to close my mouth, afraid I might spill something I’d regret. Kai had warned me not to tell him alright?
  • A little lie won’t make a difference.
  • Zef then walked towards me and softly grabbed my shoulder to make me look at him, “Tomorrow, go with me, Arya.”
  • I could feel Kai behind me clenching his hand as he watched us.
  • I looked back at Zef to see him with a serious expression, waiting for my reply. I nodded at his request, and his lips widened into a beam.
  • “Great, I’ll see you.” He smiled at me, ruffling my hair, and when he passed by his brother, he looked at him up and down, dead in the eye, and huffed before intentionally hitting Kai by the shoulder as he walked to the door.
  • Kai was just silently glaring at his brother.
  • I looked at Zef’s retreating figure, I didn’t think I’d have this effect on them.
  • Their bond as twin brothers is slowly breaking.
  • And something whispers in my head about how I can use that to my advantage. Revenge for them killing my father.
  • It’s the least thing that they could pay me.
  • I smirked, feeling that this was a good plan. Should I experiment on it?
  • “You seem to go with anyone.” I could hear Kai asking beside me,
  • breaking me from my thoughts, “What if something happens?”
  • “I have already been through hell. What more could I lose.” That was all I answered.
