Chapter 7 Chapter six

• The midnight pack
• Emera Black
• "I am Beta Andrew of the midnight pack, please state your reason why you are trespassing inside a claimed land, wolf." He said trying to sound a little bit respectful by not calling me what the other asshole addresses female she-wolf.
• So he was the beta not the alpha like I had thought, my wolf was getting weaker and weaker by the second so it was hard to distinguish between positions.
• "That's a lie you were busy checking him out at the beginning to tell if he was an alpha or a beta so don't blame it on me." My wolf said , internally rolled my eyes at her, I seem to be doing that a lot.
• "I am Alpha Emera Black and I am here just like other Alpha's for the meeting, so I'm not trespassing I'm just here for a meeting with the rest like the rest if the alpha present. standing by myside are my beta female Christabel and Delta chole. " 
• Now I was regretting why I followed Christabel decision in coming, not really her decision but I just wanted to blame someone.  All I have gotten since I arrived here were insult and look of disgust. Although he held a little to no  disgust in his eyes seeing his mate was one of us because that will be the only reasonable explanation why he isn't rude but I was certain I could still smell dark energy all around him.
• "Welcome Alpha black, please follow me I will lead you to your people to your quarters which you will stay during your time here." He said surprisingly in a calm tone , I noticed Christabel was now a little bit closer to him, standing by his side both of them giving each others looks, like there were just a mere second of tearing each others clothes away and not bothering with the fact that they were still in the mist of people.  The mate bond was such a wonderful and disastrous thing that could ruin you all make you happy.
• "Please lead the way." I finally said while clearing my throat breaking their staring contest. I could have swore I saw the dangerous and deadly beta of the midnight pack blushed at being caught staring.
• Looks like this next few days will be interesting.
• "And hopefully we could find out mate also. “my wolf chipped in.
• I didn't bother replying because that was really a delicate and sour subject for the both of us.
• I followed behind him and chole behind me, I could see the wheels turning inside Christabel head. Her thought about standing by myside or beside her newly found mate. Trust me that is the hardest decision of her life. Her mate or her Alpha.
• I gave her a reassuring smile and mind link my pack warriors to be highly alert as we are now in a new territory. There were to remain outside these pack land like a shadow , so no one in the midnight pack will see them, we were secretly prepared for a war incase one happens.
• As we walked deeper into the woods, beautiful houses came in sight but one was the most outstanding of all houses which looked like a huge mansion and a skyscraper. The building which carried a particular scent. The most amazing scent hit me  like a slap on the cheek as we continued to walk by ,I felt the need to ask who owns the building and walk inside to admire the view and quench my curiosity. It smelled like pure forest, just after a rainy day, when the sunshine came out and every living creature was happy with the world; it was so primitive and wild.
• I  licked her lips, lost in that bubble of emotions. I was staring at the building like I was lost in a trance.
• Could it be. Was it possible that was my Ma..?
• And then, the scent suddenly disappeared, upsetting her wolf.
• I  felt as if someone had broken her heart with a hammer. Maybe she was just imaging things...she was a bit stressed after the long journey and all the insult I had faced before entering the pack. changes at the pack. 
• "Come on Alpha Black, I don't have all day." The beta said to me, he , Christabel and chole were already standing closer to another building far away from me which I was guessing was the general pack house.
• I wondered who owns that mansion as I continued walking to meet up with them. I could only hoped the  pack meeting will be held, I made a mental note to renovate my pack and make it swell very nice when I done with this meeting and finding my mate.
• "Here Alpha black, this is your quarters during your stay here hope you enjoyed yourself. The room next to yours is for your Beta female and Delta female" He said to me through a gritted teeth, then his face soften at the scowl Christabel sent his way.
• He should stop pretending, I could see he was an asshole just like the rest of his pack members.
• "At least he his trying his best."
• "Only because Christabel is his mate ,if not he would have surly kicked us out."
• "You see the power of the mate bond, what it does, I can wait to find my mate." 
• Again I didn't reply her when she mentioned our unknown mate,my be it's because I knew I will died before meeting him. I haven't found him since so what's the possibility of finding him now. I have given up on that topic and embrace death as a blanket.
• "Thank you very much, beta Andrew."
• He didn't respond still looking at his mate with a look that resembles that of a lost puppy. I and chole got the clue to give them privacy and I walked into the room I was given and she did to hers.
• The room was pretty big and  beautiful with the large painting of the moon goddess on the wall. It's shaped like a rectangle, large king sized bed, two windows by the side. There is a rug on the floor. It’s dark red and made of wool. It’s very comfortable under my feet. 
• A large door was by the other side pretty close to the bathroom so I was guessing it was the wardrobe. Unable to resist the large king side bed and walked closer to it and practically threw my self on it.
• Finally peace.
• "My mate, is an asshole." Christabel said wailing in tears as she walked in slamming the door so hard I was surprised it didn't break and interrupting my moment if peace.
• "Yes, I know darling." I said back to her as I stood up from the bed to give her my attention. I wasn't really good at comforting people and she knows that. Her mate was an asshole,I good one for that who was good in  hiding his real identity.
• "How comforting." She said  sarcastically her hands in the air.
• " I'm going to cry in the bathroom. “she said after sometime of both if us awkwardly staring at each other with eyes blinking.
• "Cry all you darling, but know this ,he isn't worth it."she gave me a look that said " are you stupid."
• "He is my mate Emera, you know, the one I am destined to be by the moon goddess..blah..blah..blah. so he is supposed to be worth my tears" she said in a duh tone.
• "Oh well then cry a river why I go make sure we are safe in this pack. Mind link everyone that they should continue to be security conscious." She nodded her head and walked into the bathroom.
• I let out an experated sigh, why was I becoming so cold as death. I couldn't even console my best friend because deep down she has just found the only one thing that I longed to find who can safe me.
• I needed to shift badly, I could feel my wolf agreeing with me so I shifted into my huge black wolf as I stepped out of the room. It was getting darker , the sound of my bone breaking was painful especially when I was getting weaker but I was still strong enough to fight but in human form.
• My claws and furs came out of my hands ,legs and body as I leaped into the woods to find sanity.
• My Sanity equals finding a mate.
