• We got to the hospital and it turned out that we arrived before the ambulance because Chase had taken a shorter route.
• Nick was holding my hands tightly, he was still frightened by what he had experienced earlier and I just wish I could make him forget about what he saw.
• The ambulance came shortly afterwards and I watched how they wheeled my father in immediately, I stopped Leni to ask what was happening but tears were still built up in her eyes and I could tell that she had been crying ever since we left the scene.
