Chapter 25

• The next morning Angel was woken up by the baby's cry Nina was feeling uncomfortable with the too much light coming into the room early in the morning, she woke up, ant took her in her hands and she stopped crying it was as if she was craving her mother's touch, she handed her to ,Maxwell who was lying on the bed , clearly not asleep, she then washed up and went downstairs to make something for the kids , she liked making their food personally. Once in the kitchen , she met the queen giving instructions to the maids on what to do and what not to do, she wondered if the queen was such an early riser , it was quite early in the morning and many were still asleep, she was planning on turning back and going back to the room, she did not want to have any problems with the queen. Too bad because the queen had noticed her presence, the way she walked towards her smiling left her feeling weird, she wondered why the queen was smiling at her yet she was a monster in disguise ,the queen was not sure whether Angel could understand her but she did whatever she had to do as an apology , it was a relief that she got what the queen meant. she nodded and smiled back, she asked what she was doing here and she gestured , the babies food , she understood and asked the maids to make the food, after which she left. Angel asked them to excuse her to make the food y herself, they were reluctant but since it would be hard convincing her, they excused her.
• Angel was cooking while humming to the tune of her favorite song , at the same time , she was wondering why the queen was pretending to be nice to her just now, was she up to something? she asked in her mind. She was not sure of the reason but that didn't bother her since she will not be staying in the palace, they will be leaving for their villa later in the day.
• After breakfast, the king called Maxwell and Angel to his study, the queen wanted to go with them but the look she was given by her husband made her sit back. While in the office , the king welcomed both of them and apologized to Angel yet again. He took out a box from a drawer , the box looked expensive, Maxwell and Angel exchanged glances, the king cleared his throat and told them he had kept that box for so long, it was given to him by his mother when he got married to the queen but the queen was not in good terms with her mother so she did not accept the gift , his mother was not happy with that but the king decided to accept the gift but his mother told him not to use it since he was gifting a blessing to a couple , he should keep it and give it to his son when he gets married in the future.
