Chapter 5 Ruined
- ADOPTED HEIR **Ruined** Isabella's P O V
- "What..what do you really want from me? Why am I here?" I asked.
- He scoffed.
- "Why you are here? You are here because I want you to be here." He replied and gulped down large quantity from his drink again.
- Okay, his reply is really really funny. Is he really drunk or what?
- He stays silent after that with his head buried into his palms.
- "Nathan... Nathaniel," I called standing up, I tried tapping him but he suddenly lifted his head from his palms.
- I flinched and sat down back.
- He is drunk. Like damn drunk right now. I should probably also get going.
- "You should stop drinking that Nathan. It's not..."
- "It's not what? You shouldn't have rejected me, Isabella. How could you do that to me?" He suddenly screamed, creating fear inside me.
- I slowly stood up from the sofa, I tried walking out but he stops me.
- "Where do you think you are going to birthday girl? I'm not really done talking to you. I haven't...I haven't even given you your birthday gift yet," he puts his hand into his trouser pocket and brings out a silver necklace.
- "Take it," he offers.
- I stare at the silver necklace, not sure if I should really receive it from him. It looks really beautiful and expensive, where could he have gotten the money to buy it.
- I know his family is rich and all but still, a boy his age can't have that much money.
- "Come on, my hand hurts." He pushes it to me.
- I reluctantly received it from him. Not really sure.
- I made to leave again but he stops me.
- "I need to put it on you, I need to see how it looks on you." He said then coughed.
- I halts and hand him the necklace, he comes behind me, lifted my hair and fixed it around my neck, then he spins me to face him.
- "How...how does it look on me?" I ask, staring into his greyish eyes.
- "It suits your dress and you. It looks good on you and I really want to kiss you right now." His eyes slowly flicks to my lips and back.
- I don't think I should be doing this. I really need to leave.
- I made to turn, but his hands went to my waist, he pulled me closer to himself with a strength I never knew he had.
- "I really need to leave, Nate. My grandma...." He shuts me up with a kiss I'll call possessive. I allowed him kiss me for 6 seconds before I moved away from him.
- "I really need to go, Nathaniel. I'm sorry I can't stay here with you." I say and turn to open the door but he moves me away from the door and locked it.
- "What are you doing?" I asked, my eyes running all over him.
- "Can't you tell? Today is your day, Isabella. Just allow me to make it special for you," he breaths moving closer to me.
- "No! I need to go home now please. We..we can do this later, Nathaniel...we..."
- "When? When Isabella. Do you know how humiliated I felt when you rejected me? Do you know how much you broke my poor heart?
- I'm not trying to scare you but just give me a chance. Why can't you do that? Am I too ugly, am I not good enough for you?" He questions moving closer to me.
- "It's not that, Nathaniel, you really need to calm down right now, you are drunk..you are not in your right frame of mind right now," I say still moving away from him but he keeps coming closer to me.
- "Isabella I really like you...no, I really love you. Why can't you see that? You are the first, the very first girl that has caught my eyes. But I asked you out and you rejected me. And now you are rejecting me a second time?" He questions, the words that came out of his mouth sounds pained.
- I can't imagine how he felt but right now I'm scared, I'm more scared of what he is going to do next.
- He gets to me and grabs my both hand.
- "Be my girlfriend," he says.
- I stare at him without saying a word.
- "Are you rejecting me a third time?" He asked bitterly.
- "You..you are really drunk, let's talk tomorrow please," I plead and forcefully pull my hands away. I pushed him off my way and got to the door, I unlocked it and made to open it a second time but he was already behind me and his hand rested firmly against the door. I guess he doesn't want me to leave.
- Fear washes over me as he stares at me angrily.
- "I guess that's another no," he huffed and locked the door again.
- He lifted me forcefully from the floor and pulled me to the sofa.
- "What are you doing? What are you doing?" I shrieked trying to fight him off.
- "What my friends could have suggested I'd done to pay you back for rejecting me." He replied and the next time I know he was trying so hard to undress me. * * *
- The next day. I forced my eyes opened and saw grams sitting next to me.
- What the hell happened? I slowly sat up and called my sleeping grams attention.
- She opened her eyes and looked at me sadly.
- "Grams, what happened? Why does my head hurt a lot?" I ask palming my forehead.
- "Oh heavens! You are awake. Thank good heavens," she stands up and walk to sit beside me. That was when I noticed that we were not actually in my room but in a strange room.
- From the painting and everything, it looks like a hospital.
- Oh my goodness! I remember everything now.
- I quickly look down at myself.
- "Grandma??" I called at alert.
- Nathaniel.. he...he had forced himself on me last night.
- Oh my goodness! He had forced himself on me.
- "Grandma??" I called again. She continued staring at me with sad eyes.
- "How did it happen? What really happened?" Grams asked sounding so heart broken.
- I burst out in tears and grabbed her hands.
- "You came back last night, you passed out immediately you entered the sitting room. I had to rush you to the hospital, Bella. What happened?" She asked.
- "It's Nathaniel...it's Nathaniel Mikealson, grams. He..he got drunk and and took advantage of me, grams." I explained with tears rolling down my eyes.
- "What? Nathaniel Mikealson? Oh good heavens. Oh goodness!" Grams drew closer to me.
- She pulled me into her arms and pat my back while I cry my eyes out.
- "The doctor said you'll be okay. You'll be okay, it'll be as if it never happened," Grams consoled me while I cried more.
- "Isabella. Isabella. Where are you?" I heard Karen screaming.
- The door bursts open and she rushed in.
- "What happened? I came back to the bar to take you but couldn't find you, I traced you back home but didn't find you or your grams either. What happened?" She asked coming to sit beside me on the bed.
- "You took her to a bar?" Grams was the one who asked.
- "Ye...yes," Karen replied her fearfully.
- "For what? I suppose you took her to Nathaniel Mikealson, who just raped her last night. How could you take your best friend to a bar at this age, Karen?" Grams questions angrily.
- Karen's mouth flew open, she stare at me, the look on her face shows that she feels really guilty.
- "Goodness! I swear on my grandma's bones that I didn't know he was going to do that. I never knew he could do such a thing Grams, I swear, I just..I just did what I thought was best for the two of them." Karen answered with tears running down her own cheeks.
- "I'm so sorry." She apologized.
- "You can just leave if you are sorry. Just leave her alone," Karen says.
- Karen looks at me. She dried her tears and ran out from the room.
- "Grams you shouldn't have. She did nothing wrong. It's not her fault," I mumbled to her.
- "Who's fault is it then? I'm sure she kept forcing you there against your will and then this happened. I'm taking your medical reports and I'm filling a case against the Mikealson family. Their son has to pay for what he did to you." Grams says in anger.
- She stood up on her feet and made to walk out but I grab her hand.
- "No! Don't do it. We...we don't stand a chance against them and we are only going to waste money filling a case for nothing. We are not going to win and it's only going to hinder me from doing the things I want to, I don't want people to know what happened to me, Grams. I will really lose it if that happens," I pleaded.
- "He has to pay, Isabella. He has to pay for what he did to you and I'm going to make sure I win that case. You'll get through this in no time," Grams replied stubbornly.
- "Grandma no. Please, I'm feeling really sick, don't leave me please." I pleaded and held unto her shirt tightly.
