Chapter 19 The Dinner Party

• Keira heaved a defeated sigh, knowing that the decisions she made were bound by the marriage certificate registered under both Tyler’s name and hers. As things were, it was only natural that she attended the dinner party with him.
• That said, she was also keen to detach herself from the mantle of an heiress, though years of being the same in the Whitlaw Family had wrought her somewhat-imperious temper. She knew she was in no position to bargain with him and she was more than adept at feigning an act in front of others during formal events such as the dinner party later.
• Tyler, on the other hand, said nothing, but his handsomely-chiseled face brightened with a dazzling smile to show that he was pleased with her concession. He would much rather spare himself from an argument with her; such bland disagreements would only wear him out and eventually he might be tired of her obstinate antics and entirely lose interest in her.
