One day before my new job started, I finally found a gynecologist and am on my way that same morning. The practice makes a nice, neat impression, even if it seems a little too sterile with its white leather furniture, white chairs and light blue linoleum floor.
"Hello, my name is Samira Porter, I have an appointment with Dr. Small. ”I report to reception and receive a patient questionnaire. After I have filled it out, I am asked to take a seat in the waiting room and I sit down on one of the three leather sofas and stare out into downtown Galway.
"Miss Porter? Dr. Klein now has time for her. ”A young office assistant comes in and leads me into one of the treatment rooms.
"Want? Miss Porter. “She gestures for me to take a seat and disappears almost noiselessly.
"Hello Miss Porter, I'm Dr. William Klein. ”A man around 40 extends his hand to me and I shake it.
He then sits across from me and clicks on his computer.
