• With tears in her heart, Lexie took ahold of her fork and started doing just what she had been told... She ate and when she was done, she turned to look at him, eyes still red and not withholding anything but the pain of his betrayal. "I'm full."
• Zheme nodded at that, lifting her and taking her up the flight of stairs to their shared bedroom. "I already ran you a bath." He sat her on his right knee, using his now free hand to twist the knob and push the door open. "Take a shower and I'll be waiting for you on the bed."
