Chapter 20 Trouble

• “Wow,” was the first thing Sophie said as soon as I walked through the door. “When you said you were going to be late I didn’t think you meant 2 o’clock – late. What kept you so long?”
• She rose from the couch and followed me into the kitchen where I went to get a cold glass of water because I am going to need that or something stronger to handle her reaction to the news I have for her. She let me down the water in peace but once I dropped the glass she wanted an explanation.
• “So?”
